Sustrans have been building/expanding the traffic free path, but only to Ballachulish. From there it's on road, although you can cross to the other side of loch linnhe to avoid most of the traffic.
My mum came from that area. We went up there for our summer holidays every year and I used to watch the steam trains going back and forth. The railway line closed down many years ago and some parts of the new cycle path follow the route of the disused line. Unfortunately, several parts of the line's route were used to improve the A82 so they are no longer available.
