Sorry Steve but I'm now doubtful for tomorrow, currently in A &E with my stepdaughter, depending on the outcome I either wont be riding tomorrow or will likely to be looking to do a short one so I'm close to home.
I am to sorry that I can not join you, but due to work, and cycling from st.David's to lowestoft next week,I don't think there is anything intrinsically wrong with our rides because we used to get a decent turnout which has gradually dwindled, hell, we even do tea and cakes at the end which I believe is unique. The feeling is more of disappointment that there is a huge audience out there but not that interested in riding with others, yet many are quite happy to hand over as much as £50 to ride in these parts on a sportive, usually in ones and twos, quite bizarre.
Lots of people have driven to come on our rides, from Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Suffolk and even the south coast and we have done the same a few times.
We put the rides on to showcase Rutland, the best cycling area for choice I have ever been to in the UK. Not that worried though, we are in a club and have many cycling friends, plus we always ride together which I guess is a better situation than most.
Not quite dead and buried, I am still happy to organise rides on request, for anyone that rides a bike Rutland has to be on their bucket list.I am to sorry that I can not join you, but due to work, and cycling from st.David's to lowestoft next week,
(Sorry on a gear bike)
Which was all plan at the beginning of the year.
I was prepared to drive up to you, from Oxford to do this ride with you guys, gutted that there ain't going to be anymore,
Totallyfixed,
If you are ever down south of Oxfordshire, send us a pm, I am sure we could knock out some miles on the fixed wheel.
All the best on the day.
Fingers crossed it isn't serious. We've been in A & E since half six and are still waiting, she's having severe abdominal pains, we're hoping its not going turn out to be something serious.
