Have just has a look on the map and looks a cracking route, I think I will give it a go in a Cpl of week - what's traffic like on snake pass, I would be going over around 7am so hopefully it would be quite at that time on a Sunday morning

Traffic is very quiet at that time of the day , you would need to be very wary of ice though, a lot of the route has wet roads and a very cold night would make it a nightmare through strines!
It's a fine ride though !

Like Mickthemove said, traffic is very quiet at that time. It is only really a problem at rush hour mid week. I wouldn't even do the ride if it is icy weather. The problem is the Strines. Probably ungritted, very little traffic, plenty of places where water runs across the road, steep and shaded descents. Not nice
