I shave about once every six weeks. Have tried a Jihad Jack in the past but Ms RT said it frightened her.

I understand the real reason was that it gave her sore thighs!! ;)

I got a beard but it doesn't come all the way round - so a Jihad Jack would probably best describe me! Facial hair is good (and requisite for the chilly baw weather in Scotchland!)

As you can just see in my avatar I have a lil' tuft under my bottom lip, what are they called, jazz beards or summink?

My ex used to charmingly call it my 'slipped Hitler' beard but I prefer to call it a 'lapsed Chaplin'!

I thought they were called 'ziffers' but haven't found any reference to them!

On very rare occasions I have a goatee - look like a cross between Peter Gabriel and Bruce Willis! ;)

The only facial hair I've ever had is a very big and bushy set of sidies when I was a student. I'm now clean shaven and sticking to it. I recently saw a t shirt bearing the slogan,

'guns don't kill people.....men with moustaches do.'

I curse myself for not buying it.

That's a "soul patch". Also known among jazzers as a "flat 9" (in reference to the chord voicing of that name). Or possibly it's a speck of dirt on the lens...

Some trumpet players argue that it gives them extra endurance or allows them to squeak out higher notes or some such rubbish.
