I was actually trawling around and discovered various bands like Motorhead which obviously can't be replaced, but i was after that style of r'n'r/metal not the american version, i was told to check out Asomvel's album Knuckle Duster, very impressed and also from England, must admit i hope they release more as i think they are pretty decent.

Matt Berry's "Take My Hand" single - mostly because it's the theme from Toast of London, but the B side ("Gather Up") is a jolly nice piece of English folk too;

I've also been listening to Kode 9's new one, "Nothing";

Lastly, a bit more Marsan Jules;

I went all the way to The Borderline in London to see Robbie Fulks, it took seeing a couple of dreadful acts before I realised I was there on the wrong night...

Great excitement in the McGinty house, bought a new needle for my turntable, it had only gone up by £50 since the last one!!!

Saw them in London end of October.
They still ROCK!!!!
Excellent.. and one of the most under rated bands of the 80's IMO.

They always seem to be in the shadow of Styx, Journey, Reo and others of that ilk, and never got the recognition they deserved.
