That Arbelour for £20 is a great taste and a great bargain. Will be getting some tomorrow.
A couple of others to consider if you want a cut above the rest for thirty to fifty quid are the base level bottles by the following makers - Linkwood, and Springbank. Not found in the high street but the 'whisky shop' online will get you an ok price.
Another I've just remembered that is in the supermarket and blew my taste buds to whisky heaven, was Bruichladdich.

I have issues getting out of the Green Welly Shop in Tyndrum due to the Whisky shop inside. (I'm not often allowed in there!) http://www.thegreenwellystop.co.uk/whiskyshop/ They have the most amazing selection of whiskies there, not to mention a wonderful selection of miniatures... Anyone else been there?

Having a Aberlour at present - good value, good quality malt.

Being as I don't think I could ever amass a 'collection' of alcohol without being permanently tempted to think 'just one more', I don't, but I do like a drop of whisky or whiskey.

I used to hate it (had a bad experience as a youngster, mixed it with cider). I'm still not keen on Scotch but I could drink Bourbon and coke all day (or at least until I fell over).
