Apologies if this has been brought up before (probably many times)......
I am going to ask if my employer is willing to register for the C2W scheme so I can get a new steed.
I think the limit to spend is £1000 ???
Team carbon ( boardman) was my first thought, but I'd like to get some input on other brands/bikes.

Looking to participate in a few sportives before long if that helps.

I want you to get the norco valence carbon http://www.evanscycles.com/products/norco/valence-carbon-4-2013-road-bike-ec041240 so you can tell me if it's any good. if you don't like it, i'll have it!

True. It's designed for sportives if you believe the blurb.

I realise there will be better specs for the price, and probably lighter bikes, and better pedigrees and so on and so forth, but I have naughty dreams about owning one of these and might sell my own mother to get one.

I'd steer clear of anything with a FSA chainset, as they are a pile of crap (IMO)

But not *that* expensive to change, relative to a £1000 budget. (Never had any probs meself.)
