I don't know about that. I've been up the ESB and to be honest all you can see is more skyscrapers (although I did get a good photo of a pigeon which I assume had come up in the lift). From the top of the Shard you'll be able to see all of London, old and new.

At the end of the day though it's not been built by public money so if you don't want to pay £25, don't.

I went up the Montparnasse (? spellin') in Paris, which had great views. Ok, a few years ago, but it cost about £5!

Just seen on the BBC breakfast news that it'll cost £25 to go up to the 69th floor of the new "Shard" building in London!!!

It'll be open to the public to go and have a gander from February next year by all accounts.

Well now you know why people climb up the outside. We can't all afford £25.

I can't remember how much I paid to go up the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore but I don't think it was quite as much as £25 each. It was disappointing though as we couldn't get anywhere near the rooftop pool for a nosey and the humidity was 87% that day and so hazy that you could barely make anything out locally, never mind see across to Java.

it does seem a bit expensive, for what would be less that an hours entertainment.

to put the price in some context:
The London Eye cost £17
Tower Bridge viewing platform costs £8
The Monument to the great fire costs £3

£25 are you sure Easy Jet isn't a share holder, hope no one needs the loo while you're up there, and does it included the cost of the lift to bring you back down, or is that an extra charge?

*pay more or less double to avoid the queues!
