I've posted this elsewhere, sorry for repeating it. Before people invest in new lights it's worth considering that the next generation of diodes are making their way into cycle lights, here's an example

I have the original version, same LED as the 3W Dinotte, a great light. If I was buying now I'd have to weigh up if I'd rather have the discount or twice the output.

I bought the 5w Dinotte last weekend (free postage at the time as well). It is amazing - so small and neat, great light output (beats my 10w Halogen), really light weight (about 200g) and I really like using AA NiMH batteries. The battery pack is so small it is virtually invisible under the stem. For my use - predominantly on the Bristol Bath Railway Path (which is unlit), the light output is plenty, and has saved about half a kilo over my previous light system, and extended battery life by about an hour. I'm well chuffed with it!
