Yep. I am buying it through CycleScheme so quidco was not really any use to me.

And you know what? I bought a black one

Slight aside but when I ordered my bike on CycleScheme yesterday the shop said that they had to charge me a £65 Admin Fee - is this normal or even allowed?

Seems quite common, the shops get charged 10% admin fee which they pass to the customer. On full RRP from an LBS, they may not and large chains like Evans may just absorb the cost to get more bikes shifted

my scheme normally charges 12 x payment amount + the tax on 25 % of the final value .It varies from scheme to scheme.

Looks a nice bike paul

I will be looking for another bike next year between £800-1000 with 105 so when you have ridden it a few times give us a rundown on it?

Absolutely. I can't actually get it until September but it's ordered and will give you a full review when I've got some miles on it

Hello!

I've decided that I want to raise my budget a tad, so I can get something I'll be happier with for longer. I know that I'll want to upgrade the Triban in 12-18 months - it's just the way I am.

So, I've decided to look towards the top end of my budget and even stretch it a little.

These are the finalists based on reviews and forum reading I have been doing:

My favourite is currently the Giant Defy 1 based on the fact it's highly regarded and it comes in an awesome colour. However, the biggest size I can find is a 58cm (which I feel more comfortable on, although being told I'm a 61?...)

Does anyone have any input on this shortlist please?
