‘Turbo’? trainer

Hi,
I’ve an old hybrid bike that I don’t need anymore, so I can attach it to a trainer (or use the sort where the tyre rubs!!!).

Any advice please on:
- economical trainer to buy
- however, one with the best ‘on road’ feel (of effort).

I don’t need all the App type stuff!!!

I got a used trainer for£25 as they got it for lockdown and didn't like it.

Plenty around the country on gumtree from £20-£150....

I couldn't comment for advice. I never bought in low. I went for a top model and never looked back to indoor training/racing.

It's easy just get the Doris to hit the back wheel with a hammer every 7.32mins.
Thus equation results in a broken hub and a rough ride.
