It was on in the same room as I was in. I was surfing the net and the noise was in the background. Anyway, I announced without looking up, that the song that was playing was pretty good. My wife was somewhat amused that I was giving support to George Michael.

I found it quite entertaining. Usually I couldn't watch this sort of thng, but I found myself enjoying it.

I personally don't classify myself as a moron because I enjoyed a particular programme.

Morons are the sort of people who make up thier minds about something without experiencing it, then post their prejudices on internet forums, without caring who they insult or alienate.

Great put-down, Cube, if I might say so!

I went to the pub where I had to fetch the barmaid from the room with a TV every time I wanted a drink as she was glued to it.

I watched some the series. I hate how the X factor is imposed on us, just to get the christmas no.1 and put money in Mr. Cowell's pocket. I really don't like the x-factor ..... it is on exactly the same level as Big Brother.

It is a 'money raising' exercise for the TV company and the individuals who are preying on other individual's desire to be a 'slebrity'...

For the 10,000,000 who spent the money making the phone call, I say "SUCKERS"...

Did you see the interview where Cowell wants to do a politics style X factor where he essentially holds a referendum on every big political issue with a hotline to Downing Street. I think he said something like, 'well look at Afghanistan, I don't know why we're there'.

So if Simon Cowell doesn't understand something we should hold a referundum. I wonder if he understands what a democracy is. Mind you he's not too happy when people vote the way he doesn't want.

That is just pennies compared to the money the christmas number 1 raises..

Didn't make a penny out of me! I simply sat back with the family and watched and entertaining hour or so's TV. I quite like music, and despite some of my previous prejudice against the "instant celebrity genre" (I won't watch BB or I'm a Celebrity) I found myself enjoying watching X factor.

I have no doubt that it lines Cowell's pockets at obscenity level, but I'll no more halt that tide of idiocy from the viewing public than you'll stop people dressing fashionably or teens from eating fast food.

What did strike me yesterday is that last year's Winner Alexandra, and runners up JLS now look to be extremely professional, well heeled and dare I say it, entertaining young people, and I would never buy their genre of music.

Cowell may be milking this to the hilt, but good luck to him. He isn't doing anything that Epstein or McLaren wouldn't have done given the opportunity!

It doesn't raise any money from me ... the day I buy the sub - karaoke rubbish that seems to enter the charts these days is a long way off yet. And as for watching any of the "Britain's got no Talent" shows, never mind voting in them ... er, no. Why would I be interested in the doings of a handful of inexplicably privileged losers with stupid haircuts?
