1.85 spacer..

OK, so in order to fit a 9 speed cassette on the new 11 speed Shimano free wheel hub I am told I need a 1.85mm spacer... fine and dandy, but has anyone any ideas where I might locate such an item?

Has anyone come across similar?

they usually come with the 11-speed hub
if you fit a 10 speed cassette to an 11-speed hub, you need to use the 1.85 spacer + the thin 10 speed spacer too.

ah right, I didnt know if it would be supplied with - for my lads bike and he has ordered a set of Planet X AL30 wheels, and it says they come with an 11 speed hub.
I guess it might be in the box when they arrive, failing that a hunt the tinterweb job/order from somewhere.

I needed a couple of spacers a while ago and I asked in my local Evans, and they just gave me a couple...free.

cool, it is probably the kind of thing sat in a drawer in many a bike shop, just not of any great value to list online.

I think most places do charge for them. I was just lucky I guess.

I found it on the Shimano spares list, RRP 3.99, so I shant haggle too much
