10" Tablet

A recommendation please. I don't know much about them, I have a Kindle HD that my daughter plays games on, I never use, it, the Amazon tie-in drove me crazy. So no tie-in's, Amazon or Apple.

It's for my elderly mother who'll use it for browsing and Skype calls to family abroad then I can get rid of her old bulky PC. Up to £350, sub £300 would be great as I am short of funds right now.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3.
Now I've got used to it, it's good. There's still things I want to do on a Windows PC, but Android has plenty of apps that over most needs.

+1 for the Galaxy Tab. We got my folks one over a year ago and my Mum's never off it now.

I use a Galaxy Note 10.1, but with hindsight I'd have savef £100, (at the time anyway), and gone with a Tab myself. The Note is also excellent though.

Nexus 10 and Galaxy Tab are both great tablets.

Thanks, but she's not going to be able to go from a PC monitor to a 7" screen , it's got to be at least 10".

I noticed the Galaxy in Tesco's at £279 (I think). It'll be fine for her, browsing, the odd email an Skype is all she'll ever do.

I was going to buy a Nexus 10 for the Mrs for Christmas but decided to buy the recently updated Nexus 7, which turns out to be a better size, I now think the 10 would be too big.

My son got a Nexus 10 for Christmas. He's over the moon with it. And he's an expert with this sort of thing. ( My opinion )

Seriously, why discount the iPad before you've had a go with one? I love mine.
