Hi.
It's the first day back at work today, and like everybody else the mood was a little somber with the thought of the coming week..When I got home I had a stodgy tea of beef hot pot and a steak pie, so I had it my head to just go for a gentle ride of around ten miles..As it happened it turned into a 35 miles tour around the country side. I'm sure cycling is an addiction sometimes.. You start off with a small ride planned and by the time you realise it ,your clicking some decent mileages and you find yourself in the middle of nowhere..A hot bath and a pint of Guinness for me I thinks tonight :-)

I was looking at second hand cars last night , not because i want one but a mate had a nice car and i wondered what one would cost . About 7-9k second hand , i thought i could get a cracking bike for that

To be fair you can get a cracking car too with plenty of change depending on what you want.

Do think cycling can become addictive though? If I've had a bad day at work I always find a nice long bike ride always puts me in a good mood afterwards. Just getting out in the country side and taking in the glorious scenery makes you feel a million miles away from the manic office at work.

I think it's very addictive. I can feel myself getting more and more caught up with it. Probably the only addiction I've ever had in my life that's good for me. Never turned 10 in to 35 though but hopefully that will change as I get out to explore my new surroundings.

I got a cracking car for half that. And yes cycling is addictive, it's why once we start we don't want to stop.
