I think the 11 speed shimano hub is 2.8mm wider than 10. Just ordered new wheels handbuilt on 105 hubs and I plan to use sram pg1130 cassette - I confess I am a bit confused about whether I will need ...

1mm only (shimano 11 speed cassette would use just 1mm I think?)
1mm + 1.8mm (think this is for mounting a 10 speed cassette on an 11 speed hub, but want to check)
None

Can anyone clear up my confusion?

Do you mean you ordered a pg1030 ? the pg1130 is 11 speed. ( from googling) if you have ordered the 10 speed 1030 I think you will only need the 1.8mm, from memory the sram does not have the tiny 1mm indent in the back like some of the shimano cassettes. I use a sram 10 speed on shimano 10 speed hub ( for cx) and it does not need a spacer at all.

Thanks it's an sram 11 speed cassette (pg1130) going on a shimano 105 5800 hub.

This page is the clearest I've found and it looks like no spacers needed.

"In both cases of Sram and Shimano, if you are using an 11 speed cassette on an 11 speed freehub body, the cassette will go on the freehub body with no spacers needed."
