Anyone know of a 10speed setup I can buy for my road bike

Chain, cassette, crankset, front mech and rear mech? preferably 105

They are listed like 105 5700 cassette, and then 105 R7000 cassette I don't know if they're compatible or not

If someone could give me some links to a set that would all match I'd very much apricate it

Looking for 10speed 11-28teeth 105 cassette, chain, 105 crankset 53/39 170mm cranks, front mech and rear mech (shortcage i think) and a Bottom bracket, think I currently have a hollowtech? Its been a while.....

New 105 is 11 speed.

you say 10 spd, dont include shifters in the wanted list, so if you have 10 speed shifters, what are they, as that is important.

i.e. 4700 Tiagra is 10 speed but not compatible with old 10 speed 105, ultegra etc.

More generally searching for "Groupset" may help, but as said above on the "new" front, your limited to Tiagra, or such as Microshift which is Shimano compatible stuff.

used gives you more choice but you need to be clear on what you are looking for,

You can use 105 5700 or Tiagra 4600 with those shifters. The part numbers for each component will begin with either 57xx or 47xx. So for example the Tiagra rear derailleur will be RD-4600, the front derailleur is FD-4600 etc. It is nice to have a full matching groupset (ie all 105 or all Tiagra) but they should all work together.

In Shimano part number speak:

RD = rear derailleur
FD = front derailleur
CS = cassette (with HG often included, which is the type you want, not Microspline)
FC = crankset
BB = bottom bracket.

Using these and the numbering at the top you can easily search for parts.

Ok so you to avoid Tiagra 4700 10 speed, as that is not compatible.

Microshift R10 derailleurs will work with 105 5700 otherwise its anything 2nd hand that is 10 speed shimano 105 or ultegra (both of which are quite old - 5800 / 11 spd came in in 2014) or 4600 Tiagra.

any 10 speed cassette or chain will work that is Shimano / SRAm compatible (i.e not campag).

also plenty of brandeds do shimano 10sp compatible chainsets, you might find more choice if you opt for a 50-34 compact , rather than a 53-39, it will also give you a lower gear for the hills, especially if "its been a while". crankset dictates what BB you need, along with whether your frame has a press fit (hopefully not) or threaded BB shell

It's fairly simple maths to compare these:

53/39 - 11/28T: longest gear ratio is 4.82, shortest is 1.39
50/34 - 11/30T: longest gear ratio is 4.54, shortest is 1.13

So the first one will offer lower cadence at higher speeds, but the second one will offer easier climbing.

You can find a gear calculator and put in your wheel/tyre size to determine exactly what speed and cadence you will achieve for each setup.

That groupset you are looking at seems good value but its an 11 speed set up, The rear cassette will not fit onto a ten speed rear hub without some work or another rear hub/freehub or wheel, most rear hubs are not 11 but just bear it in mind.

If you’re not sold on Shimano both SRAM rival (replaced by 11 speed but you’ll get lightly used or new 10) and Apex come in 10 speed.
Any 10 speed cassette will be compatible with either Shimano or SRAM (including cheaper options like Airbike or Tifosi). Ditto chain
(Not campag)

Meh its probs best/easier/ if i can just find a 10sp 105 53/39 crankset with 170mm cranks and 10sp chain and 11-28 cassette, same as I have on there currently... or even the inner and outer ring, as mine is worn

frame is a planet x rt-80 I think hollotech BB

Replacing my current 53/39t for a 52/39t will that be ok?
All these looking compatible?

Anyone know of some good break and inner/outer cables for my setup?

How much for the cassette? Air bike ones are £24 ! You don't need a 105 cassette
£27 is a lot for a 10 speed chain too, look at SRAM
