This popped up locally on FB Marketplace today for a very reasonable price of £150, needless to say it’s now mine!

It’s got a broken rear triangle but the rest of it is all pretty good and completely serviceable, I’ve already sourced a satin black triangle for £80 delivered, I’ll remove the rack plus the Dynamo lighting and fit a new rear mudguard and replace the seat (I have a correct one in my box of bits) I’m hoping to get this all done for under £300.

I'm determined to live my life without joining FB, buy I know I'm missing out on some potential bargains on the Marketplace section.
Serves me right for being so stubborn.

Started work on it this morning. Triangle removed (without having to saw it off) frame touched in and polished, wheels cleaned and both hubs greased and adjusted.

So far although I’ve had to source a complete rear triangle and pivot pin, the rest of the parts list is not too bad, the tensioner needs new idlers, the cable catcher is broken (they all are) and it needs all inner and outer cables replaced.

The good news is that the main frame is completely rust free.

Productive day today, frame now touched in and polished, everything that needs to back on the bike has been deep cleaned and serviced, just waiting for a ton of parts to arrive to reassemble.

I thought it may need a chain tensioner but after a deep clean it just needs replacement jockey wheels. I’m still just on target for my £300 total including the cost of the bike.
