Well as it was a nice and sunny day. I decided to actually go on a decent ride. So after a slight his-up of the rear tyre exploding, taking it to the LBS to see why it happened and got it repaired, had to get a new tyre under the warranty so not so bad.

So i set off on my ride to Jodrell Bank, even with the GPS i got lost, not a bad thing as i managed to find some quite lovely places to rest up and have a drink.
Eventually made it to Jodrell bank to the cafe where food was quickly ordered

Well for my first decent bike ride out i don't think i did too badly.

42 Miles, so may just be able to stick out the Llandudno ride in april

indeed. met some nice cyclists along the way had a nice chat.

I don't know the roads that well so google maps had to come out a few times  thats the stupid thing with the GPS on the Garmin it doesn't correct it self when you go off course.. it just says off course and leaves you to fend for yourself

There's a wonderful route-finding device that needs no batteries and, unlike a GPS, which only shows you your route, this device shows you the entire area at a glance with coloured bits representing water, forests, rivers, roads and even contour lines to help you avoid hills. Some these devices even show cafes and pubs. They fit perfectly in a jersey pocket and are ridiculously cheap considering that a couple of centuries of R&D work went into them and you can carry on using them for years:
