Sure it makes a bit of sense...not sure about your computer bit tho, you'll feel like you're going slower, and notice a difference in speed? Isn't that the same thing!?

Well you know when you go along, and you think your doing about 20mph, and you look down and your doing 21mph.
The distance from my house to a turn i take is 0.9miles, but it works out abit more when i changed my tyre to 700x23 and didnt set it up for this.
And the main time i noticed it, was when i was going along, my computer said 25mph, but my legs deffinatly werent doing that speed.
When im on the fixed, i cant tell roughly what speed im doing by how fast my legs are going, so its abit of a give away.

i know it's probably a bit gauche to put a computer on a vintage bike, but without it i would have had no idea on how fast i'd gone and whether the gearing was too high/low.
