Women's u23 race today ,looks interesting - the Netherlands haven't sent a team, so that blows it wide open. More to the point, GB and Canada have five riders, Ozzies and Spain four, France Belgium Germany and US three. That looks like it's going to be hard to control. Is this the first time they have their own race, rather than a category in the women's elite race?

Yes first time I think it’s not be part of the elite race.

Chloe Dygert trying and failing to keep politics out of sport in the women's TT - an I stand with Charlie Kirk sticker on her forks. Doesn't sound like her political views have changed much recently. Sticker might have been anti-aero though, she finished 9thh.

Wasn't familiar with her previous for similar, prior to having seen the above. She was another rider I simply couldn't find myself warming to and I now have an inkling as to why.

Some poor women got shelled out on it first time round, just a few km into the race. 0.8km @ 8.1%

One lap ppf the eight done and the peloton is still all together, apart from those that went out the back. I wonder if it might continue like that for a few more laps, just slimming the pack down with some attrition?
