GET IN!

Tobias Lund Andresen just destroyed the strongest sprint field so far this season in Tirreno - Adriatico

Milan, Magnier, De Lie, Philipsen.... BOOM

His 4th World Tour win, but the first outside Australia. Biggest win of his career so far (I mean technically the Cadel Evans Step On My Dog And I'll Throw You In The F*cking Ocean Road Race is more UCI points by quite a way, but nobody really thinks that's more than a chipper)

Vingegaard finishes off after the ride of honour from Red Bull by taking 45" on the final km and a double Danish victory day.

We're so back!

Couldn't believe how off it Dani Martinez was. An absolute sedan chair ride then he can barely out climb his domestique.

Vauquelin was raging at the end; having missed the early split, he was probably the rider of the day.

When he calms down he should count himself lucky. He avoided the crash that has decimated the GC contenders. (Onley was lucky there too, with his ill timed bike change)

I am not sure how many riders didn’t start today, but I think the race started with 154 riders. So far only 124 have crossed the line…

15 riders confirmed as dnfs.
Eddie Dunbar’s luck doesn’t seem to have improved any.
Sivakov and Vlasov were about the best of the GC riders we didn’t see. Not surprising since they were over 17 minutes behind. More than 50 riders lost over half an hour.

Vauquelin:

"Imagine you're first in line of the peloton and a rider pushes you into the ditch and you find yourself at the back of the bunch when the echelon starts.

He doesn’t know who it was though.

Juan Ayuso update: Checked out in hospital and nothing is broken. According to the team he has no serious injuries.
