I'm not sure I really ever saw it that way. It looked like Seixas was doing his usual: you've had your fun, here I come routine, but either the conditions or accumulated fatigue got the better of him completing the job and he chose discretion.

Looked the wettest race this year. Abysmal conditions. Couldn't really workout the race from the highlights video.

Big break had repeated attempts to.make a selection of 2 to 5 riders over most of the day only to fail and fall back into the larger break ..finally august went solo 19 K to go made it stick

When I tuned in I think of coverage had only just started and the break with Johannesen already had 4 minutes on Seixas, and I think there was a group off the front of the break. What were Decathlon doing letting the gap go that far? Just unable to control it?

I guess we may never know cos there weren't any pictures.

And why did Riccitello not drop back to help Seixas when he was on his own. Its not like he had anything else to do.

Meanwhile the mighty Guillaume Martin rocketed up to 11th in the final GC. Huzzah.
