I wa surprised when I saw the lack of quality on the start list for Romandie. I know Pog is only do it as an exercise in ticking off his palmares, but his closest rival (based on PCS) is Mauro Schmid

Granted, Lipowitz and Onley are there too but you can't see them putting up much of a fight

Do you think the smaller stage races might be in trouble due to riders going to altitude instead in preparation of bigger targets? Teams have to join if they are on the WT calendar, but if that rule ever changes, attendance might drop off a cliff.

Is that's what's happening .... Tour of alpes was in the right part of the calendar

3 of the top 4 from last year's tour would usually be considered a stella field.
