I'd kind of assumed that Muhlberger was injured or ill and wondered how he'd recovered enough to ridevso well in the Tof A. That clears it up, thanks.

Yes, it's just finished, would like to know what happened to Aitor Martinez, he was with Noval with about 7kms to go then just seemed to go pop.

I think that's almost literally what happened. I think Noval was going a little faster than he was comfortable with.

Looking at the results from yesterday at Ain Bugey Valromy tour I notice we have a new pair of British twins iin the peloton. Milo and Samuel De La Mare who I know absolutley nothing about but they both finished well up the order.

Stg 2 of A B Valromey today was won by young Brit Finlay Storrie and very impressive he was to. Aitor Martinez who blew up yesterday finished 2nd. Noval was in a group 34 secs behind and keeps the leaders Jersey.

Talking of Ain Bugey Valromey, does anyone know what's going on with last year's winner, Noah Lindholm? I'm expecting big things from him, but he's barely raced this year.

Storrie and the De La Mare twins are all first year juniors, making their achievements all the more impressive. Apart from that, I know nothing about them either.

He's 19, so I assumed he'd been finishing high school this year, but apparently he had knee surgery in December and the healing hasn't gone entirely to plan. And I think I knew this but forgot - he's Rolf Sørensen's nephew.

Yesterday's stage at ABV was entertaining. Noval, having thinned the peloton to an elite group of favourites with an upping of the pace on the Col de Portes, somehow became detached on the descent from the group that included Aitor Martinez, Van Kerkhove amd Milo De La Mare. The group of favourites, who joined up with the 4 man early break that included Van Kerkhove's teammate (Sindre Orholm-Lonseth), worked well together whilst poor old Noval was left to tow a trio of stragglers to the line. Van Kerkhove attacked with about 4 km to go and only Martinez went with him. Martinez took the win and leads SVK by a minute. Milo De La Mare is up to third at 1:20 while Noval drops to 7th at 1:31.
