So this chap just won 25 million on the Euro lottery...

He seems a nice modest chap from what I saw on the news at lunchtime, so good luck to him...

What would you do with that sort of money? I reckon I could give half away to charity, give a few friends and family a million each to do what they wanted with, and have enough left for a nice enough little house (with a big garage/workshop for all the bikes...) and to live off for the forseeable future while I spent my time riding my bikes and doing all the random stuff I fancied.

I've no idea what I'd do with the money - probably something worthy and charitable - but I would never ever work again. Sod that!!! ;)

I reckon you could definitely give a lot away to charity, relatives, whatever and still have plenty. You could probably put in the bank and live of the interest.

I would build a huge garage, fully equiped with every tool I would be likely to need and spend my spare time restoring classic cars:thumbsup:

I would like to go on a few holidays as well.

Build a nice modest house on the west coast of Scotland with big windows looking over a sea loch. Build a granny annexe and install the MIL.

Give a bit to a few charities and relatives.

Set up a cycle club in Nigeria with club bikes, mechanic and trainer and maybe build them an outdoor velodrome.

Spend the rest building then endowing a clinic giving free treatment using genuine drugs to sick people in Lagos then install expat management to ensure it was run correctly and not robbed blind.

I'd spend all day reading posts on Cycle Chat from the comfort of my own home, rather than doing it at work.

I think I would pretty much carry on doing what I do, but maybe employ a few more people fully.

I'd give nowt to no-one, me and I'd spend really, really modestly and I'd give regular interviews to the papers and TV telling people just how little I was parting with. "Well yesterday, for instance, I booked a weekend away in the Cotswolds and that'll most probably be our only holiday this year. I decided against getting a new shed, the old one just needed a lick of paint so I bought a discounted tin of woodstain from B&Q." Stuff like that.

Buy Astana for a year? Joke.

I'd probably kit myself out with a few more bikes and tools, perhaps start a team to play cycling manager...

I like the idea of a velodrome - I said this to Young Un on the way back from Manchester...win the lottery then do my bit for the West Midlands and build an indoor velodrome (would that annoy the Purple people?!?). Alternatively, invest in one of those temporary ones as seen at the Milan 6 day, except a full 250m! I'm sure there are plenty of sites up and down the country where these could be installed.

A few bike related charities should get some money. I like RR's idea of developing African cycling.

I'd buy a new sailing dinghy. And a modest lake to sail it in (I'm thinking Hornsea Mere) Same sort of thing as RR has posted but wouldn't get family to move very far.
An executive box at the football too.

I would buy a goat as a pet.
Buy a house with a massive garden - build a velodrome, a tennis court and swimming pool,
Buy more bikes.
I wouldn't just give money to charity - but I would organise some sort of event to raise money and awareness for charity.
I'd pay one of the geeky kids to do all my homework.
Bribe the examiners to give me full marks.
Buy a few more Big issues using £5 notes and tell the big issuer to keep the change.
Help out relatives and close friends financially
open a bike shop
Oh and as Will said....African cycling charities....I guess I would go out there and do some work with them, aswell as buy a fair few bikes.

(not neccessarily in that order)
