As an addition, does anyone have a link or advice on which other sizes will fit? For example, will a 35c fit, and what do those numbers mean?

I put 35mm sammy slick cyclocross tyres on my 29er. Quick rolling and still work over the rougher stuff too

Just need to know rim size which is stated on the rim wheel

But 29er wheels can take as low as a 25mm road tyre, during the summer commutes ive been using 28mm conti 4 seasons

Cheers again Jowwy.

I've just checked and I couldn't see anything written on the rim, but there doesn't seem to be much difference in the rim width between that and my other bike with smaller wheels on, and they're under 2" tyres.

Hi,

At £16 (delivered free) for a pair you'd be hard pushed to do better value than these :
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/michelin-city-road-tyre/rp-prod26232

The 40mm (40C / 1.6") only come in plain black (no reflex stripe). Tough,
long lasting, puncture resistant, roll very well - miles better than knobblies.

Mine looks nowhere near as rough as the picture, look at the reflex picture.

Decent tyres for under half price ..... (40%)

rgds, sreten.

You will need different innertubes, 700 x 28-42 C.
