I first came across a junction like that while in a taxi in America. I asked the taxi driver how it worked and he said (slowly) that the first vehicle got to go first.
I then asked what happened if two cars arrived at the same time, he thought for what seemed a very long time and then said "yeah well that could be a problem"!! It still makes me smile when I think about it.

The rules in The Highway Code do not give you the right of way in any circumstance, but they advise you when you should give way to others. Always give way if it can help to avoid an incident[/QUOTE] So, what, you all just sit there in case you cause an accident?
The correct answer is 'the taxi', 'white van man' or 'the tipper lorry'. If all 3 arrive at the same time, then I believe it causes a shift in the time space continuum.
I like this type of junction. It takes away the rule of the road and makes people use common sense. The way I play those junctions is that the biggest usually has the right of way unless they give way to you.
It's not that much different than arriving at a cross roads in the side roads at the same time as another vehicle in the opposite direction wanting to turn across each other - lots of communicating! Or a roundabout where everyone arrives at the same time? Usually the most assertive/aggressive goes first!
