So woke up looked out the window and thought what a perfect day for a ride. Met up with regular riding partner went to leave the car park to find my di2 battery was at 0%. I wouldn't mind but the battery was only charged last week and haven't ridden to the bike since (10 months old). LBS shop i was near where i got the bike plugged it in no errors shown. They've kept it to have a look at next week. Has anyone had issues with their di2? I've read many had issues with an external di2 battery mount but mine is built into the seat post.

What a disappointing day. Mind you was the first time i've ever played squash in cycling gear, most entertaining.

Hmm started having an issue with my Di2 which is 8 months old. I fully charged the battery, and 3 days later, with no use, it's flashing red when I check the status......

Good news, seems battery was the issue (fingers crossed) as been for a ride and left for a few days and charge still at 100%. A bonus of the battery being replaced was Shimano sent the LBS the latest battery model rather than the model i had installed as a replacement meaning i can take full advantage of the new semi and full synchronised shifting modes. Something i'm looking forward to trying at the weekend after setting it up this evening. Semi really interests me where you change the front chain ring and depending which direction you are going the rear cassette shifts up and down by 2 cogs to help maintain cadence (can be set to change from 1-4 cogs).

Electronic shifting on a TT bike is a fantastic innovation. Lost count of the times I've wobbled on the tri bars trying to manually shift gear! I've had Di2 on a road bike and, have to say, never really noticed a great deal of difference between it and manual shifting, although there is much less tinkering around with gear indexing. Wouldn't spend the extra £500 on it now, rather spend those pounds on a wheel upgrade if I had that kind of cash.

So it knows whether you are heading towards Scotland (which is obviously uphill) or Poole (which is obviously downhill) - that's really neat. ^_^

Good to see that the problem has been identified and hopefully sorted with a new battery.

However, have you checked/updated the Di2 firmware recently? There was a problem, if I recall correctly, with the D-Fly, related to charging issues, that was resolved with a firmware update.

All firmware was updated. Having said that the charging issue was directly after a firmware update so interesting to hear there was an issue with the d-fly and charging.
