Colour tv was introduced in Britain. https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-...tv-from-tennis-and-ties-to-petals-and-plumage We didn't get a colour set till 1974. I remember my friend's parents got one in 1969. His dad turned the colour up to maximum saying "I've paid for a colour license so we're going to bloody well have colour"! As figures moved on their tv they were followed by what looked like an orange flame. Any of you remember going to seaside resorts and seeing We have Colour TV signs in hotel and guest house windows to attract customers?

It came as quite a shock a few years ago to discover that Bagpuss had been bright pink !
I was surprised to find that the Buses on On The Buses were green,

I always thought London buses were red.
