No joke, CJ: alternative meaning. Colloquial meaning is daydreaming. In Italian anyway, dunno about Indian, Nihal can tell us I guess.
We also say: "you are asleep on you feet" to mean somebody present in body, not in spirit

There isn't a single Scottish accent. The Sottish accent is regionalised. In some regions the accents are melodic, in other regions the accents are a cacophony, some accents are incomprehensible.
