Not 531, probably quite heavy I'd guess, but likely to go cheaply in Nottingham auction on Saturday. Raleigh mixte.
No size given, maybe 19"?

Nice spot @Poacher I'd be more interested in the Moulton that's in the auction. Couybe a bargain for someone.
Fees seem rather high for absentee bids.

Yeah, I saw the Moulton, but thought it too rough to give a shout out! Lots of work, but as you say, a potential bargain. Next lot after that is a quite attractive lady's BSA.
Maybe I should re-phrase that? Nah, stet. Fully enclosed chain and a skirt guard to boot!

As for the fees, I remember when there wasn't a buyer's commission. There was quite an outcry when it was introduced at 4%, including VAT.
Despite hammer prices increasing year on year for most lots, brown furniture being a notable exception*, commission also seems to increase!
Absentee bids seem broadly in line with many auction houses, but if you want the excitement of auction fever by bidding online, it costs considerably more. Johnson's fees:
"A Buyer’s Premium of 24% (inclusive of VAT) will be charged on top of the hammer price for absentee bids, telephone bids and bidding in person.
A Buyer's Premium of 27.3% (inclusive of VAT) will be charged for live bidding and autobids on our AJLive online bidding platform.
Lots purchased online with the-saleroom.com incur an additional charge amounting to 4.95% of the hammer price plus VAT.
"
The other Nottingham auction house I occasionally buy from is even more usurious:
"Buyers are charged a premium of 24% (plus VAT) in addition to the hammer price. Subject to a minimum charge of £6 per lot plus VAT
Live bidding platforms attract additional costs as detailed below:
mellorsandkirk.com - 1.5% (plus VAT)
Easyliveauction.com - 3.00% +VAT on the hammer price of all lots purchased or a flat fee of £3.00 is taken by Easylive Note: This fee will be taken regardless of whether you bid on or purchase lots.
the-saleroom.com – 4.95% (+ VAT)
"
So the cheapest commission at Mellors & Kirk is 28.8%!

PS. If anyone here bids and wins, I can probably collect and store for you to collect at your convenience, preferably for less than the 18 months and counting that I've kept a tatty frame for @midlife!

*e.g.

Each of which went for a hammer price of £10 last week. But why pay £12.40 when you can spend 20 times that for a piece of crap from "Oak"furnitureland?
