Yesterday we let our son watch Lost Boys - he's 11, quite a young 11, but his bestie had watched it and he was desperate too. I FF'd a few bits but he absolutely loved it. Today, we watched Gremlins (which was perfect for him).

What other 80s films would you recommend we watch with him? Nothing saucy or smutty please. Think of an 11 year old boy who loves football, mountain biking, his cat, his family and watching Top Gear.

Stand by me? Goonies? Back to the future? Teen wolf?
Ferris Bueller? Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Risky Business ( he may be a little young for those)
Home Alone? Obviously any Disney from that era like Aladdin
Short Circuit? ET?
googling brings up some lists, some other corkers in here like Big, The Karate Kid, Ghostbusters

Back to the Future
Raiders of the Lost Ark
ET
Blues Brothers
Excellent choices. The last absolutely enthralled my girls when they were that sort of age. Kids love mindless destruction. All the Raiders films are fun. I'd add Crocodile Dundee. If he likes Top Gear he'd probably like Top Gun. Pink Panther movies if he has a GSOH. James Bond of course...
