My surly is custom, 38 front inner and either 25 or 27 rear....troodos was a bit tasty and up here I'd like to hit the hills with a machine.

Lower gears/ new engine would be the quickest and cheapest option but by all means by n+1

If you like the look of the Supersix Evo, there's a 2013 Sram Red model with Ksyrium equipe wheels here for £2099

I know lots of people will say a bike won't make any difference to climbing, but I've just changed from a £1k carbon bike to a £6k Scott Foil 10 (paid half price tho as last years model) and the obvious difference in stiffness (plus a fair amount of weight saving) makes a big difference. I was sceptical and only bought it because I wanted it, not because I thought it would make me any better - but it does. Over 5mph faster on top speed first time out and went up Holme Moss without any massive difficulty. It's just easier to push along, simple as that.

Not unless you weigh more than a fart, I’d go for alberto contador
I would have Andre Greipel as my engine so you lot are TOAST.
