Nothing wrong & everything right with Elite Custom Race plastic resin bottle cages.

Available in a multitude of colours and designs inc, Union Jack, Stars & Stripes, Italian Tricolore' & French baguette flavours.

I have them on my bike, no squeaks or rattles & very secure, weight difference is negligible, that's why the majority of the Pro Peloton use them.

Love the Van Nic bikes, if money were endless then an Astraeus or Aquilo would be my weapon of choice, Aquilo most likely.

Not sure, I used to use 750 bottles but they got grotty & have since been using any freebies 500ml I get sent by Wiggle etc.

Bought and now placed on the bike 2 of these, 8 squids each. See how they fair on tomorrows fast pace 100.
A quick test does seem that they hold the bottles nice and securely.

Very Stealthy @ianrauk

A very good buy imho, like I say, there's a reason it's the most used cage in Pro Tour Cycling.

Were you surprised at how many colour/graphic options were available at all Ian ?

I went for Union Jack & Stars 'n' Stripes (2 of each) & swap 'em depending on mood.
I have white/red & red/white too for the same reason.

Hoping a +1 & a +2 will take up 4 permanently.

Is it called +2 when you go beyond +1 in this game ? (Never heard it mentioned).

In Guitarist's world it's just called GAS.

No not surprised at all at the colours. But for my Van Nich, colours are not it's thing. They also don't match the look I am trying to get with the bike. So when a metal cage comes out that looks more traditional and is far stiffer then current metal cages then these will go.

Will do.
They did a 100+ fast ride yesterday with no problems. They do hold bottles very well.
Only saw this thread today. I have them on the Viner, and one on the Squadra (with another to go on that bike when the non-Elite cage breaks). Great, handle all the usual bottle sizes with no problems, and they're £8 or less. Can't understand why people pay £££££ for a cage, especially for CF ones. Recently tested on about the worst cobblestones I've ever ridden...
