It took me a while but with a lot of patience I managed to disassemble my old 10-speed chain.

Pop them in a sonic bath with degreaser.

Air dry and reassemble - Sheldon Brown would approve.

Would be nice in an attractive bowl on the coffee table with a generous squirt of GT85. Kind of like a bicycle nut's pot pourri....

Not sure if the OP is serious.
But being boringly practical for a while, can anyone think of any uses for old chains, however much disassembled?
(a fair few uses for tubes of course)
