I didn't hit the link but I have pictures of some examples of the result on my computer at work for training purposes.

It's common amongst people who work at height and fall in a poorly adjusted harness which just rips the skin clean off.

That’s not a nice story, I had a bike that was forever losing the bar plugs, they just didn’t fit in the bars. I rode it for ages without plugs.

I used to play rugby with a guy who had a finger missing.
