Just been playing with my new scanner and thought I would bore you all with a few old slides from my tour in 1983 in Germany/Austria/Slovenia.

Somewhere in Slovenia. Note the low tech footwear. Tennis shoes with no clips or cleats.

Descending the Grossglockner having just climbed the south side.
12% descent for 16.9 km. Not sure about the lower gear advice though.

A 12% descent for 16.9 km's must be amazing .. fair play to you for climbing up there in the first place though

I'd love to go to Slovenia, i believe RichP had a very enjoyable tour there
