Wow, you are an immense source of knowledge when it comes to Norway!

I think I will take that route now. Just a few questions though (which your probably used too). How much and how often is that ferry?
Born and bred Viking, currently occupying and plundering Scotland. I am also from that area of Norway and knows it well. I have also done that journey myself in 1991 and it took me some time to pick up my jaw from the ground again.
The ferry is two-three times a day. That means 1200 and 1455.
The price is £ 25.

Please also note that you get a big mountain just after Dragsvik called Gaularfjellet. You also get a medium big mountain at Moskog and a medium big mountain at Stryn. You take the Hellesylt-Geiranger ferry I gather.
You get a very steep mountain just after Geiranger and a big mountain over Trollstigen. I did the Trollstigen to Geiranger route the opposite way back in 1990. It is called the Golden Route because of it's extreme beauty and vertical climbs. You, ie your muscles will find out why...........
Btw. The Bergen to Voss is a bit of a pain with long tunnels. I would suggest the detour around Hardanger if you have a spare day or the detour over Hamlagro if you would like to avoid the biggest tunnels. Hamlagro is very steep for 2 miles and then gives up the resistance and you get a very nice experience 'till you reach Voss. It was one of the nicest surprises I got during my Oslo-Bergen-Sogndal trip in 1991.
Please feel free to ask more questions.
