I actuallyhave no clue how it works on my Bosch system

in first gear it goes very slow - so slow that you can;t ride it
in top gear it goes a bit faster but not that much based on the gear ratios
so something is controlling it

and - at least before the update - it was very stoppy starty for no apparent reason

which basically makes it almost useless
it is less effort to actually push it than hold onto it and keep the button pressed

I had never really used it until last years ride around King Alfred's way. We had to push up some sandy dunes, my bike was equipped with WA, the wifes not. This was one of the reasons to upgrade her motor which came with WA
