Same advice here regarding the yeast, but don't put in more than the recommended amount or the top couple of inches of your loaf will have more holes than a Swiss cheese.

Could you advise the best place to purchase Ascorbic Acid powder?
I popped to the shops earlier but the only place I could find it was a Wholefoods shop. It was on the shelf with the Vitamins and supplements. A 250g tub had a price label of £36! 😮😮
Batch I’m currently using is branded Dove’s Farm same as the flour. Think it came from Lakeland during lockdown

I purchased a 500g pouch from Amazon which arrived yesterday. I'm a bit miffed with myself that I didn't shop around a bit more. We have a weekly veg box from Abel and Cole and we buy our Bread flour and yeast from them, which is from... Doves Farm! I never thought to check if they also sold Ascorbic Acid.
Ah well, it should last a fair while.
