"Stank" is the only one I'm not familiar with. All the rest are well-known in the east.

My fave one as a kid was: "That's the hawz!" or "That's hawzy!"

Round the not so posh part where i live, a stank now means a rather unclean lady :?: btw Goo huv ye hud yer tea yit

I think I would use stank in the terms of 'something stank' had a bad smell. I had a look at the urban dictionary and it seems both descriptions are apt ,
btw I just had mine, traditional Scottish Spaghetti Bol (and it wasn't deep fried )

Talking about Scottish spag bol, we recently made lasagne with haggis and I am advised that spag bol can also be done with haggis. The lasagne was good, but not as good as mince.

You could always buy a phrase book

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Parliamo-Gl...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1255645127&sr=1-1

Includes general comments about the weather ('Scummindooninbuckets')and useful phrases designed to ward off those who might be getting just a bit too familiar ('Takyurhonaffmabum')
