Sorry to hear that. I would still have been a maybe at best under the circumstances. The route is worth a mid-summer date, irrespective of FNRttC clashes.

Bum. Sensible tho - I remember doing a very cold wet January (?) night ride with you a couple of years ago and bailing at a railway station somewhere in the wilds of Sussex.

Keep the route under your hat. I'd certainly be interested in future.

Yup, it was January. Just you and me and @Flying Dodo. 'Twas a bit grim (the weather not the company).
It's already raining down here, has been for a while. Right choice to abandon methinks.
