You need to order some of those 'Parking Banker' stickers off the web. There is a Instagrammer that has some really difficult to remove stickers.
To be honest I should have walked further up the pavement then said “ I think you need to move this”

Same idea, but this is YPLAW, and he films the miscreants trying to get the stickers off.
I got a reply from Northern Gas Networks denying they had anybody working in the area yesterday. However on todays walk with Bertie I took several pictures of said meter which I posted with my reply to their email.
It now appears that the behaviour of their employee or contractor falls well below of the their standards and they are going to an internal investigation.
I forgot to put in my reply that he had not bothered to clean up the bits of the broken meter that were all over the pavement but that would be understandable as he probably couldn’t seen them due to his truck being parked over them.

For the past two months this has sat there untaxed and moted.
There's around an 18" gap to the bushes so that wheelchairs and prams can't get past, although judging by the number of scratches along the side plenty of people have tried.
Last week I reported it to Salford Council and they say its not their problem, although I drove past ten minutes ago and it's now gone.

They did also say they had passed the report on to the DVLA, and that is probably what resulted in action.
I hope so, the email only arrived at 07:23 this morning though so it's quite impressive if that's the case.

The council state it can't be removed because it's deemed roadworthy & not burnt out........that's easily rectified

There's several parts of the UK where the local ne'er do wells would have thrashed it round the estate, then torched it to cheer the place up

Some of this could explain something
quite some time ago - like well over a year - a moped type thing was dumped and burned out on a footpath/cyclepath that goes along behind our garden
I tried to report it a few times and got nowhere
eventually I reported it as flytipping and got a message saying that as it was a motor vehicle it had to go to the Police
i.e. I had to report it to the Police
so I did - took a while - 4.5 millions questions but I managed it
a few days later a foot or so of Police tape appeared tied to the handlebars
this was months ago and it is still there
Not really sure what to do about it - but I suspect it falls behind several different stools

I'm surprised the local "Steptoe & Son" in a 22 year old Transit Flatbed haven't taken it by now
