Has any CC wordler ever got it right 1st time ? Or know anyone that has?.
Ive got it right 2nd line a couple of times as have other CCrs but not heard of anyone doing so on the 1st line.
Google says the odds against doing so are approx 2,350 to 1 and tbh i thought it would be higher than that.
Ive also failed a few times when my brain was just not cooperating.

Once. I also got it right on the second word once, after having no letters right on my first effort.

Yes. But once your starter word has been the answer it gets tricky because you either stick with a good starter or go chasing 1s.
For instance you would be crazy to use yesterday’s answer CLOCK as a strategy because it has a double letter and one bad vowel.

My stats show I've got it right first time once, pure luck obviously but a much better performance on second effort with 43. Generally I'm on a three or four but I've noticed I tend towards four more than three these days. That's because I rotate my started word and really should stick with my original one.

.
My gut feeling would be lower than that. I'm guessing that's based on an assumption that words are chosen randomly.

The thing is neither the word you enter nor the answer is chosen randomly. Both are the result of human choice, the first by you and the second by the Wordle editor, Tracy Bennett. That's going to mess up the odds.

My usual starter word wasn't in the original wordle answer set, so a 1 was never on (but I don't think getting a 1 is really the aim of the game). However who knows now they have started mixing in new answers with repeating old ones...

I've had 2 so far. Once was through persisting long enough with a starter word. The other was proving a point. I spent a few days studying the information gleanable from the spoiler thread, and it took me six days to get the 1 - the word being UNTIE. Before that I came close to a failure when I'd made a wrong inference and found it hard to let it go. An interesting experiment, but I was happy enough to get back to normal.

I always start with AUDIO and on one occasion that was the target word so yes, done it once. I play a lot so I've done it on the second line a few times. My average is four attempts I reckon.

Yes, once. However, I believe my new starter word OLIVE has already come up, so I won't be doing it again unless I change it or they repeat it...

Problem is you then need to come up with a new starter word.
Not really. The primary purpose of a starter is to get you going, not to get it in one. If you have a starter that works for you then changing it just because it won't get you a one could be a bit counterproductive.

BTW, Wordle won't accept the word Latin
No, it's a proper noun. Same for Czech, Inuit, Norse and Maori. The last one I tried as a potential vowel-rich starter but it wasn't allowed.

Oddly enough I think Welsh and Greek are allowed though.
