Forgot to mention in my previous post about the phone calls. As others have said, they plague you with them, and they clearly sold my number to other companies too because I started getting lots of cold calls despite being with TPS and usually not getting anything of note.

No matter how many times I told the window company 'No', including words such as; never, no way, clown, rip-off etc, they still kept at it until I found the solution which worked immediately and has worked with other businesses since:

"If your company ever contacts me again I will start to post very negative reviews of your business on the internet"

Works brilliantly.

They usually know they are pushing it when they call numbers without checking the TPS list

Simply ask for the Supervisor as they have committed an offence under section 75 of the Telecommunications Act 2007 (made that up) and you require the Company's full details for the Police report

They tend to put the phone down very quickly

Something similar, I ask who they purchased their database from, because I know some of my information has been gathered illegally and that an investigation is under way.

Solar panels have taken over from double glazing. A few years ago my elderly mum made the mistake of filling in a magazine reply coupon and shortly afterwards the solar panel salesman turned up. It all turned rather nasty; she got so desperate to get rid of him that she went out to collect her grandchildren from school, thinking he would leave. He stayed and while she was out he got my Dad, who was ill with Alzheimer's, to make his mark on the sales contract. Disgusting scum altogether.

Not sure but I thought K glass was a requirement for new windows now?
it's almost certain that you'll need it, along with argon filling and some mega-gap, but, really and truly it costs next to nothing extra.

Everest are rogues, and I'm pleased that people here have seen through their schtick. My mother wasn't able to get them out of the house on their third visit. She believed all the nonsense about being in the area, having a word with the supervisor and so on and so on. The price was halved, but, then again, one of the windows nowhere near fits. Ted Moult - if you're reading this, you're an arse.

Just make sure you get pole jacks in case the bay is load-bearing.

(can't go wrong!)

While I'm sure Postman is a very competent man about the house, I suggest that your need to include the first phrase makes the second possibly over-confident... ;)
