A26 from Tonbridge to High Brooms - any cycle paths?

Hello dear ones

I've just visited my friend's new house in Southborough using a mixture of train and bike. I decided to approach from High Brooms station instead of Tonbridge statino as I didn't fancy the A26 south from Tonbridge to Southborough. Does anyone know it - does it have a cycle path? How do I find out, as you can't see it on the satellite photos due to tree cover. It may be the perfect route after all.

I suspect this might be quite a dim query but any help would be gratefully received, and this route would save me a change of train.

Ta in advance!

No there aren't any paths.
I have cycled the route a couple of times, between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.. It's not the worst A road for cycling but it's not the best either. It's only single lane each way with a 40mph limit and can be a little busy. It's also a bit of an uphill drag southbound.

Thanks Ian. A shame really as there are no side roads or ways round that serve my utilitarian purpose! I will try it at a quiet time of day some time and see how I feel about it. It is a bit of a haul uphill from High Brooms station too, some short but steep Wealden hills that go past pub gardens from whence issue raucous but inoffensive encouragement - very doable even so.

Hi Reggie

Just cycled this today. A bit hairy and you were right about the long haul out of Tonbridge. I did find that the pavement is a shared path just up until the road starts getting a bit more tricky, when it dumps you over to the other side of the road (impossible to cross safely) onto the other pavement, which then abruptly stops. However, on the way back there is a lovely wide cycle path taking up most of the left hand lane across the A21, which made me quite happy. Will use again but not in the rush hour.

Cheers
