It was Ealing Cycles.

In theory they're my LBS but I quickly stopped using them as their boss is notoriously lacking in customer handling skills. I don't think he's there much nowadays, so you might not have had the full experience.

If I need to buy anything I tend to go to Wizz Bikes in Brentford High St, although I do nearly all my own servicing. I agree with redjedi, I wish they had a better range of stuff.

Woolseys in Acton are always very helpful too.

Ealing Cycles have 1 review on a quick Google search

very basic cycle shop. not much choice but main items are offered, at slightly higher prices but it's acceptable. i have doubts on the technical competences though. i would not recommend it unless you have no choice. Acceptable for kids & mummy's bikes OK for commuters, for general items No go for riders, even for a service

I won't be in a hurry to check them out, even if I do go past them occasionally.

WW - What brake did they put on?

Last week at lbs - BB fitted, headset fitted, bars fitted, front cantis fitted and adjusted, bars taped, front wheel built. Total labour cost £30
Still got to get rear wheel built when I get back home before its road ready though.
