If so, I have R, S & T all within a few hundred yards in Cowbridge tonight. That is after going for a different R - "The Red Fox" in Penllyn, only to discover they have renamed it, and it is now just "The Fox at Penllyn"

If they count, we have the River View (Chinese)

the Shampan (Indian)

And the Onzon Thai (Thai)

Café Velo, Llantwit Major - where I also stopped for a coffee and cake

And the White Lion, Ystradowen - less than 2 minutes ride from home. I could have had the W in Llantwit Major as well, as directly behind me when I took the Café Velo one, was the White Hart pub.

Most village pubs are primary restaurants these days anyway. At the end of the day it's open to interpretation.

Due to circumstances, first time on the bike for three weeks.
My initial plan for a "J" went out of the window as I discovered the planned pub had closed down. I then found two further "J"s which had also gone the same way. However the fourth was successful; Juniper Farm - Woolston

Although I genuinely pitied those walking to their cars with food or drink in their stomachs. It smelled as though the septic tanks were in dire need of attention and I was glad to move away.
Flushed (!) with success, I headed to a pub a few miles away and around 130 years older.

Got a spare £1.5m? This pub/ steakhouse could be yours. It always seemed to be in a good location; lots of housing, an attractive building and plentiful parking, but it went out of business in 2019, reopened and was out of business again in 2022.

Anyway, I give you the Master Thatcher in Taunton.

Animal related "I" are few and far between. I did find an Ibex and an Iguana nationally, but nothing locally. So, a bit of lateral thinking required and still animal related - The Bull Inn, Clifton upon Dunsmore

My next letter is 'U'. The nearest I've found is 40 miles away - an 80 mile round trip, which is beyond me. I may take the train out and cycle back.
