I exude so much charisma and natural talent that once, when I was a student in Spain, I was approached and offered a role. I was in a bar in Granada and there was a tall and rather sexy blonde girl who kept staring at me, making me feel a little nervous. Eventually she came over and started asking my Spanish friends if I could understand any Spanish. "It's okay", I replied "I speak Spanish!"

Turned out she wanted a typical Englishman for a role in a film that she called "cachondo" which means comedy. I was tempted but since by then I had moved to Seville and was working full time at a college there, I didn't think I'd have enough time. In the end I had a strong feeling she wanted me to be the butt of some humour so it was a bit of a relief. It might have been a porn movie though; this was just after Franco died so Spain had gone mad for porn.
